The region offers many possibilities. Right at the chalet's doorstep:

• Go cross-country skiing along a frozen river, whether for a family outing, for more athletic training, or for the pleasure of gliding.
• Go ski touring or snowshoeing for some medium-mountain routes.
• Go hiking to discover the region, along the multiple hiking trails.
• Go e-biking or regular mountain biking to explore a wider territory.

And for those who want to gain some altitude, by public transport or by car, the ski areas of Jaun (Gastlosen Express, 5km), Col de Jaun (10km) and Charmey (6km) are nearby and all are part of the Magic Pass. Not to mention the climbers' paradise: the Gastlosen.

Land of the herdsmen

It is in the heart of these valleys and mountains with unique grasslands that the world's best milk comes from, sublimated by double cream, the famous Gruyère AOP and many other authentic products with unmatched flavors. The cheese dairies and alpine huts will let you taste these products in a spontaneous alpine atmosphere.

As for chocolate, the Maison Cailler in Broc invites you to discover its history and especially to taste it.

For food lovers, names like la Pinte des Mossettes, les Montagnards, le Paradiso or le Cam'Ca will welcome you for a journey full of originality.

A symbol of all this alpine life, the désalpe (alpine descent) will delight lovers of traditions and authenticity. Decorated with flowers, the cows return to the plains with a joyful tinkling of bells. It is a moment eagerly awaited by farmers, a symbol of the end of the summer season, but also a celebration for the whole community. Beyond the visual and sound spectacle, the désalpe embodies pastoral know-how deeply rooted in Swiss culture.
