The Chalet

The soon-to-be century-old chalet is designed to accommodate a group of up to 19 people in single, double or family rooms.

Successively a family home, a residence for religious people and then for the elderly, a holiday camp, and in 2020 we renovated it to make it a warm and friendly space for about twenty people. It is part of a heritage that bears witness to the village's past life.

Its fully equipped kitchen, large living room, modular dining area, the warmth of wood, and its original decoration are elements that will make your desire to "be together" a unique memory that can be shared with loved ones.

Make the most of the outdoors with the Feuerring and the pétanque court, which will offer moments of emotion for everyone, young and old. The cross-country ski trail passes right in front of the chalet.

The Feuerring

Fire has always fascinated the human spirit; a thousand years ago, the undulations of a flame meant warmth and life.

The Feuerring, a creation by Swiss sculptor Andreas Reichling, is an outdoor kitchen reduced to its simplest expression. It allows everyone to transform this principle of simplicity into a unique and convivial culinary experience. A meeting place to enrich friendship, a place to cook and enjoy food together. The Feuerring, as a modern fire pit, combines all of this at once: a social gathering around a crackling fire that illuminates and enriches every corner of the garden.

The Village

Im Fang, or La Villette in French, has always been part of the Municipality of Jaun (the only German-speaking municipality in Gruyère). The region is known for its unique dialect that even most Swiss Germans don't understand. Like any alpine village, Im Fang built its history along a stream, which once provided energy for the forge and mill.

Strolling through these picturesque and already exotic alleyways, with their decorated chalet facades, flowers on balconies, and swallows ready to take off for next spring, one becomes aware of the tranquility, silence, and timelessness of the place.

Moments suspended in time, animated only by the activities of its mountain farmers. While businesses have moved to Jaun, the hotel/restaurant "La Hochmatt" remains, where people dance to traditional music to the sound of the Schwyzerörgeli.
